Two exciting concerts – Friday and Saturday nights – on the Long Beach Convention & Entertainment Center Terrace Plaza (in front of the Long Beach Performing Arts Center) await ticket holders on Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach race weekend!

On Friday night, SMG Presents Fiesta Friday Starring Ozomatli!

L.A.-based Ozomatli features a wide variety of musical styles, including salsa, jazz, funk, reggae, rap and others. Its six current members have been with the band since their self-titled debut album in 1998:  Wil-Dog Abers, Raul Pacheco, Justin “El Niño” Poree, Asdrubal Sierra, Ulises Bella and Jiro Yamaguchi.

The band has released seven studio albums in total and played all over the world.

Friday’s show will start at approximately 6:45 p.m.

Saturday, SMG Presents The Cult. The legendary band’s current lineup includes Ian Astbury (vocals) and Billy Duffy (lead guitar), as well as Grant Fitzpatrick (bass guitar), Damon Fox (keyboards) and John Tempesta (drums). The Cult have recorded 10 albums comprising many hit songs including “She Sells Sanctuary,” “Wild Flower” and “Fire Woman,” and their latest album, “Hidden City,” was released in 2016.

Saturday’s show will get underway at approximately 6 p.m.

The concerts are free to each day’s race ticket holders. Space at the outdoor stage is limited and will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
