Mothers to Bring Back Exotic Car Paddock
LONG BEACH, Calif. (April 4, 2014) -- Mothers Polishes-Waxes-Cleaners will return as the “Official Car Polish” sponsor of the 40th Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach, April 11-13, and will also sponsor the popular Mothers Exotic Car Paddock on Sunday of race weekend.
The Huntington Beach-based firm, known worldwide for its premium-grade polishes, waxes, cleaners and car care products, will have its colorful Mothers big rig, featuring car displays and product demonstrations, in the Long Beach Convention and Entertainment Center Lifestyle Expo during race weekend.
And, on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., fans can take an enjoyable stroll through more than 100 of some of the world’s most outrageous supercars in the Mothers Exotic Car Paddock, located across the Firestone Bridge in Turns 9-11. Admission to the Paddock is free with race ticket.
Many of the cars on display in the Mothers Exotic Car Paddock will also be part of a ceremonial parade lap prior to the start of Sunday’s Verizon IndyCar Series race.
"I remember attending the first Grand Prix of Long Beach with a friend, when it was a small event and we camped in a motor home,” said Jim Holloway, vice president of Mothers. “Now 40 years later, it has become a landmark automotive experience, and Mothers has enjoyed sharing the exciting lifestyle with attendees from around the world.”
Mothers got its start at the grass-roots level by selling its now-famous products at car shows, cruise nights and races nearly two generations ago. Today, its broad array of finish car product lines includes “Back-to-Back,” “California Gold,” “Marine,” “PowerBall,” “Professional” and “Reflections.”
