As far as national TV time was concerned, the "cat fight" between Danica Patrick and Milka Duno got all the play last weekend. Unfortunately, the rather embarrassing pit road scene overshadowed Ryan Briscoe's second victory of the year at the Honda Indy 200 at Mid-Ohio.
Late-morning thunderstorms washed the 13-turn road circuit clean, making for some dicy running and fast tire changes for a period after the green. But, Briscoe's timely pit stop on lap 55 set him up to lead the final 20 laps to the checkered flag. In all, he led 43 of the race's 75 laps.
Polesitter Helio Castroneves, Briscoe's Team Penske teammate, finished second, followed by Scott Dixon, who had his series points lead shaved from 63 to 58 over Castroneves.
KV Racing Technology teammates Will Power -- winner of this year's Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach - and Oriol Servia rounded out the top five.
The IndyCar Series heads north of the border -- where Canadian Paul Tracy is waiting for his first series start! -- and the Rexall Edmonton Indy, which will be televised live at 5 p.m. E.T. Saturday on ESPN.
