BRISCOE TOPS FIELD AT MILWAUKEE

admin | 04 June, 2008 11:22

Ryan Briscoe's favorite color has to be yellow...at least this week!

Briscoe was leading with barely two laps to go in Sunday's ABC Supply/A. J. Foyt Indy 225 at the Milwaukee Mile, with Indy 500 winner Scott Dixon right on his wing and setting him up for a last-lap pass before....yellow flag!

A multi-car accident - highlighted by Vitor Meira's unscheduled flight! - brought out the yellow, and Briscoe cruised under caution to his first 2008 win. Dixon led a whopping 147 laps to Briscoe's 36, but Dixon came out of Milwaukee with 234 points, 28 ahead of Helio Castroneves in the season standings. The win moved Briscoe into 8th place.

The series heads to Texas Motor Speedway for Saturday's Bombardier Learjet 550, which will be televised by ESPN2 at 10 a.m. E.T.
