SATURDAY WILL BE INDY'S BUSIEST DAY YET...

admin | 15 May, 2008 09:01

...with 22 starting spots - 12 thru 33 - available for 26 entrants. ESPN2 will be there live from 4 p.m.-6:30 p.m. E.T.

Sunday will be equally busy with "Bump Day," that annual fingernail-biting, gnashing-of-teeth day that makes for some dramatic TV viewing. ABC will be live from noon-3 p.m. E.T., then hand it over to ESPN2 for the last 1-1/2 hours, from 5 p.m. 'til the gun goes off at 6:30 p.m. E.T.

And, as always, a handful of drivers will be hanging around Gasoline Alley looking for a last-minute ride, including Alex Barron (5 Indy 500 stars, best-finish 4th in 2002) and Jaques Lazier, with 6 career starts.

By 6:30 p.m. E.T. Sunday, we'll know who's starting in the 92nd edition of the Indianapolis 500.
